Who we are

Cerne is made by Baynor GmbH, Maschinengasse 7, 6330 Cham, Switzerland. You can reach us at info@mycerne.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Baynor GmbH, and "the site" means mycerne.com and its preview addresses.

What this site is

This site introduces Cerne and lets you join a waitlist. Cerne is not yet open as a commercial service. Parts of the site are a working preview: they change often, and they may be incomplete or unavailable without notice.

The demo family is fictional

The family shown in the demonstration record — including Mara, Jonas, Nora, Inês, Pedro, Ruth, Walter and Lucia — is invented. They are not real people, and nothing in the demonstration record represents a real family, a real customer, or actual use of Cerne. It exists only to show how a record looks once it has been tended.

What belongs to us

The Cerne name, the wordmark and the ring device, together with the writing, design, illustrations, layout and code of this site, belong to Baynor GmbH. You may read the site, and you may quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy, adapt, republish or reuse the site or its contents for your own product, service or materials without our written permission.

What does not belong to us

A family's record belongs to that family. When Cerne opens, anything your family keeps in its record — the moments, the writing, the photographs, the recordings — remains yours. Our role is to hold it, tend it and render it at your instruction, and nothing more. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything.

Access to the preview

Parts of this site are closed behind a password. If we have given you one, it is for you alone. Please do not share it, and please treat what you see behind it as confidential and unpublished.

Fair use of the site

Please do not scrape the site, collect from it automatically, attempt to reach parts of it you have not been given access to, or work backwards from it to reconstruct how it is built.

No warranty

The site is offered as it stands. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Our liability

To the extent Swiss law allows, Baynor GmbH is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may revise these terms as Cerne develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zug, Switzerland have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction.

A living record of your family — built slowly, ring by ring.

Cerne — heartwood, in Portuguese. The dense core a tree builds slowly.
